How do I find 3D technical drawings of automotive products?
You might check GrabCAD: https://grabcad.com/library/category/automotive
Or the 3D Parts Community: https://b2b.partcommunity.com/Baldor...baldor%2Fdodge
Also, some manufacturers are starting to release their CAD models: https://www.sema.org/sema-enews/2012...-tech-transfer

SEMA wants $360 per year just to look at CAD models! I'm not sure about shop manuals for cars. GrabCAD is OK.
A lot of bearing / screws / nuts manufacturers give the models for free. See SKF for instance.
As for actual automotive components, not so much, the idea is that it may generate 2 problems :
- loss of spares sales
- loss of product image due to under-performing copies.
Most of the models available online are just the outline, not functional components.
Places I've bookmarked:
Isometric vehicle drawings

I found exploded drawings for an automatic transmission used on General Motors FWD compact cars. It has three speeds. I know that there is 6-speed automatic transmission on Thingiverse website. Is it possible to convert a 6-speed transmission into a 3-speed transmission?
