A New ZStory Highlights 3D Printed Orthosis

ZMorph has come through once again with another of their interesting stories regarding how users have innovated with their products. Their latest case study involves giving a patient mobility back in his hand due to a 3D printed orthotic. Biomedical engineering student Eliza Wrobel was able to construct the orthosis with a plaster mold that was 3D scanned, and then 3D printed in 70 pieces. Because of the amount of precision afforded by the ZMorph 2.0 S Hybrid 3D printer, relatively few parts were not 3D printed and she was also able to fabricate pins to hold all the pieces together.
