Local Motors Gives 3D Printed Strati Autonomous Capabilities

Local Motors has put an even further spin on their 3D printed Strati, teaming up with Mouser Electronics to enhance it with autonomous capabilities. Coupled with the fly mode created by challenge winner Grant Imahara, the autonomous car is able to release its accompanying drone. As it flies out over the landscape, the drone gives the driver a view of the landscape as well as the traffic. The idea is expand further on the driving experience, taking the driver from the car and into flight, as they travel in safety.
