Zweikampf 3D Printed Shin Guards Made on 3D Systems sPro 140 SLS 3D Printer

Bernstein Innovation of Austria has come a long way since CEO and founder Jakob Schmied was suffering from a painful case of periostitis of the shin. In his search to make the best shin guard possible, his team has been using a 3D Systems sPro 140 SLS 3D printer and their DuraForm PA material to produce tough but lightweight gear in the form of the Zweikampf Shin Guards. The guards are not only durable and good looking, but offer a better and more customized fit. They offer better safety and eliminate irritating problems like sock slippage too. Currently they are available in three sizes with options for soft, hard, or in between—and the product is available on Kickstarter in a campaign just recently launched.
