3D Systems Hires New COO, Mark Wright from EMC

3D Systems announced today that they have appointed a new Chief Operating Officer. Mark Wright is now 3DS' COO and is set to work closely with the company's President and CEO Avi Reichental and other executives. The goal in this new appointment is to scale up the company's commercial manufacturing operations after a recent string of acquisitions. Scaling their framework is critical as 3DS seeks to improve from recent performance, and Wright's appointment is expected to be a strong addition to the company's executive team. Wright comes to 3DS from an 18 year career with EMC, where he served as COO of their Flash product division and, most recently, as SVP Business Development and Operations for EMC and Lenovo's joint venture, LenovaEMC.
