Prusa i3 Freezes and continues

I have a prusa i3 and just getting started on 3D printing. I have noticed that the printer freezes for a few seconds and then continues at some points throughout the print. I am using Repetier Host with Cura Engine. The print turns out exceptionally good apart from the spots where it freezes which leaves little blobs of plastic in those spots. I have also noticed that as it is printing, it shows the real time construction of the layers in Repetier Host and when it freezes, the software also stops showing the deposition of the layers. I am thinking that maybe my computer is not processing the slicing fast enough which causes the printer to wait as it processes and then continues. Any ideas on what the problem may be and how to fix it? Thank You!:)
