Researchers 3D Printing with Piezoceramics

The use of materials for 3D printing is one that expands continually, along with the needs of users—and as researchers around the world explore new ideas. Recently, scientists at the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick have found a way to 3D print with piezoceramics—a unique class of ceramics that can both promote and receive (and react) to electronic impulses. While being used in numerous applications today, the researchers see traditional machining processes as limiting the potential of piezoceramics.
