Hey Backers! We hope you all had a great time over the holidays and we wish you an amazing year in 2014! We’re certainly looking forward to the year we have ahead of us, much thanks to all of you :) We’d like to get you all up to speed with what we’ve been working on! Here’s a list of our major accomplishments over the past couple weeks: - Finalized the Beta Kit design (video update coming soon) - Developed relationships with suppliers - Finalized the Beta Kit parts list and made orders - Launched Backerkit - Got the circuit to turn the laser on and off - Made a custom coil winding machine - Compared many different techniques and processes for building The Peachy kit Here’s a list of the major things we are currently working on: - Creating kit build instructions (written with photos, video, and animation) - Preparing to ship our first Beta Tester kits - Launching a Beta Tester Forum - Launching a store for Beta Testers to order their extra parts and resin (all testers will be given an equal in store credit) - Launching a new official website (we’re moving to a more freedom respecting content management system) - Launching a community driven wiki for our kit build instructions (this will allow the community to share their ideas and tricks for building the kit with everyone) In the midst of all this we even managed to sneak a couple days in with our families over the holidays! Of course we’re now charging full steam ahead again, so things are going well and we’re making progress by the hour! Beta Testers, we’re getting closer :) A little bit about Backerkit We’d like to remind everyone to finalize their Backerkit orders as well, tomorrow is the lockdown date! If you don’t open your Backerkit order before tomorrow don’t worry, you will still be able to go through Backerkit. The lockdown simply closes all currently open orders. If you do not wish to use Backerkit please send us your order information (shipping address, T-shirt size, add-on orders, etc.) in a message.
