CubePro Duo selling suggestion

I am looking for some advice on what to do with a CubePro Duo printer that I have. I teach at a school in Canada and our school board purchased us a CubePro Duo printer without consulting us on what to buy. We quickly realized that the cost of filament was WAY to high for us to operate the printer. A spool of bulk filament costs about $30/kg while the CubePro cartridges cost us $240/kg. It's insane!!

We contacted the supplier and they don't take returns, so I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how I could get rid of this thing for a reasonable price. Obviously shipping it is a problem since it weighs about 150 lbs, so we don't know what to do. Selling it locally doesn't seem to be an option since there is a very limited market for people wanting to buy a $4,000 3D printer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
