Tooth Printing on the Form1+

3D printing has become a regular part of dentistry. No, the teeth themselves aren’t being printed (yet) but instead, 3D printing is being used to create accurate models of a patient’s teeth. These 3D printed models replace older wax versions and are being used both to ease the patient’s anxiety and to offer those who will be performing the procedure increased time to study the particulars of an individual mouth. We are actually looking into 3d printing teeth for our patients. What 3d printed was used for that image?

Apparently they were done on a Form1+ printer from Formlabs. (That's obsolete; they've subsequently gone on to the Form2.) If they were being used to create actual teeth instead of fit models, you'd need to use a resin that can burn out, and be cast in gold like the wax models normally used.
