- Biography:
- I am a very active 3d printing and design buff. I have been into this for bit over 4 years now, getting serious with hobby a little over a year ago in Dec 2023. I now own 5 printers in total.
I have worked as an operations engineer for many years now in the power generation/steam/gas turbine industry and currently am a shift operations engineer for a 12 hr shift at a combined cycle power plant located outside of Boston area. I entered the field out of the Maritime industry. I have been in the field now for 35 years as of 2025. I have been active with computer stuff since the late 1970's. I consider myself a hobbyist and kind of a tech junkie or enthusiast. This past summer I started learning Fusion360 because I wanted to be able to design my own prints from scratch. I am still learning Fusion and progressing along.
I maintain a small home print farm which consists of the Qidi Plus4, Q1 Pro, Xsmart3, and my original highly modded Ender3v2. I also have one recent resin printer purchase, a very basic Anycubic Mono4 which I grabbed to be able to do some tiny high details objects a few months back after receiving requests for small parts from a customer.
I have a wood working shop with a wood router cnc and tons of other gear. I have welding equipment, and tons of stuff from years of putting together a nice home work shop. I do have CNC experience with metal working which was part of my Maritime education.
In the past three months I have built up a very nice collection of airbrushes, paints and gear; anything I do I go big. Just picked up practically the whole line of Monument paints, love them!
