Bollywood Star Shahrukh Khan is 3D Printed

Shahrukh Khan is a huge star in Indian cinema, and his Bollywood epics have resulted in enough cash to help him create his own special effects company, Red Chillies VFX. Working alongside Autodesk India, the company created a life-sized, 3D printed statue of the 'Bollywood Baadshah,' and he's pretty pleased with the results. You can read the whole story here: http://3dprint.com/37124/3d-printed-bollywood-star/

What do you think of this piece? I could personally see a whole array of these being printed for rewards shows like the Oscar's or Grammy's. Below is a picture of Khan standing next to his 3D printed statue:

Post Bollywood star shah rukh khan is 3d printed

This is really amazing, and I'm sure all SRK's fans would want their own lifesize SRK at home! (a bit big for a hood ornament on the car tho!) haha

Shah Rukh is always at the cutting edge of technology so it doesnt surprise me that his team did this first. Kudos to him and his team.

Then I think of people getting 3D models made of their friends and loved ones to give them a bust of themselves as a gift... And then I think of the majority of "cheap 3D modelers" on the internet and their skill (or lack thereof)... And then I think back to seeing so many horrible, horrible tribute tattoos from "artists" in the past.

The possibility for epic failure in this strange new future are great and hilarious.
