    Porsche 997 Made Faster Thanks to 3D printing and Stratasys

    Champion Motorsport faced a design problem when they began the process of creating their highly specialized turbo intake system for the Porsche 997. The part had to be both technically capable and pleasing to look at, but standard casting processes meant one or the other features would have to be compromised.     Curious but it is 997 times faster than what? Than building the prototype or compared to when it is in full chain production?

    997 is the internal designation for the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold by German manufacturer Porsche between 2004 and 2012.
