India has traditionally been a hotbed of technology and programming education with students there functioning at the highest levels and traveling across the globe to take part in cutting edge projects in the IT field. But for the most part, the nation has been slow to take up 3D printing technology and training efforts. Now students and developers at the A-SET Training & Research Institute in New Delhi have created what they call the country's first '3D printed humanoid robot,' which they call MANAV, and it may mark the start of a deepening interest in 3D printing from students and educators.
