One determined DIYer and 3D printer designed, printed, and wired his own home thermostat. His prototype, the new thermostat will ultimately connect with two others just like it in his newly-purchased old house, all of which will be remotely programmable. Printed in bright red plastic, the thermostat features an internal LED that gives it a space-age look when it lights up a dark room.
