South Korea-based Digital Human Research Center and the Dynamic Robotic Systems Lab have created a 3D printed humanoid robot, in a project funded by the Advanced Institutes of Convergence Technology. The 3D printed robot is named DyRoS and in a blend of aesthetics and electronic engineering, he functions as a lower body shaped bipedal robot which can walk and squat. The design is open source and the creators hope makers and designers will come up with some interesting modifications to the design, which was presented at Humanoids 2014. DyRoS is in development to become a full-body robot as they work to design an upper body portion. Check out more information: http://3dprint.com/26939/dyros-3d-printed-robot/
