i.materialise Rolls out New Colored Alumide Material

Today, 3D print shop i.materialise introduced new, sparkly dye availability for its alumide material. The original, matte grey alumide material is now joined by five sparkly post-production dye jobs: Asphalt Black, Brick Red, Rusty Orange, Sparkly Blue, and Moss Green are all now available. The new sparkly materials will add some panache, and are available immediately on all new shop items; a sample kit can also be ordered so you can see the actual sparkles prior to ordering anything 3D printed in these jazzy colors. Check out more details in the full article: http://3dprint.com/25912/imaterialis...kly-aluminide/

Below is a look at some objects 3D printed using the sparkly alumide:

Oh jeez, glitter has come to 3D printing...

I suppose when Martha Stewart started making a branded line of filament, it was inevitable.

But not a filament, either for sls or polyjet machines.

You want shiny filament go look at the polyalchemy elixir filaments. Very cool
