High school students in Vermont have been invited to enter the ‘Town History in 3D Competition.’ Each high school can send a team of two to ten students who will be asked to create a comprehensive project regarding historical buildings of Vermont, by researching the architecture and explaining their history, using Sketchup to design a 3D model of the home, 3D print it, and present a multi-media talk for peers, teachers, and industry experts. They will also be working within Google Earth, with their models imbedded there. Judging will take place on March 25th, when students will place their 3D printed models on a giant map of Vermont, with their models in the correct geographical locations.
