Air Powered 3D Printer
At a recent startup competition, a team called Maizena 3D created a 3D printer extruder capable of printing a corn starch/water mixture using air to power the extruder. The extruder doesn't heat up but rather uses air to force the material through the nozzle. While they are (not) 100% satisfied with the results quite yet, they are still working on making this work better. This could have quite a bit of potential in 3D printing details objects with a large range of new materials. Read and see more at: http://3dprint.com/19121/air-powered-3d-printer
