3DRacers, The 3D Printed Racing game

Created by Marco D'Alia and Francesco Murro of Rome, Italy, 3DRacers is a combination of their passion for toys and gaming, combining 3D-printed cars and a game which users can play with up to 1000 others via their phone app. 3DRacers features a customized Arduino-based controller. Users can design their own car, print it, and race with friends, watching real-time scores. The design is open source, and 3DRacers encourages their users to improve it where they see fit, as well as using the designs to create different things. Marco D’Alia and Francesco Murru think the floor of your living room should be dedicated to auto-racing mayhem and competition, and to that end, they've built the vehicles and systems behind 3DRacers.com. The setup is a series of 3D printed cars and software that brings an auto racing experience off the flat panel monitor and into your home, and the pair are launching a Kickstarter campaign during Q1 of 2015 to put the game into production. The cars are fully 3D printable and can be created via an online editor, and the racing action can be controlled with your smartphone or a 3D printable controller. 3DRacers has just announced an Indiegogo campaign for their race car game which brings 3D printable cars and track to your living room, which can be controlled by smartphone or even a 3D printed remote control. With a host of features included in this game that can take over your living room, the files are all open-sourced, giving users the freedom to tweak their customizable 3D printed race cars, track, and electronics run with Arduino software.
