    3D Printed Working DC Motor

When you think you have seen it all, someone goes out and surprises you. A man on Instructables has posting up instructions on how to 3D print a working DC Motor. He shows a video in which he did it himself. It's pretty incredible to see. While the entire motor obviously can't be 3D printed because of the need for magnets and other metal parts, the way in which this man did it is very mpressive. He had to pause his MakerBot on several occasions in order to insert different metal parts. Read more about this at: http://3dprint.com/10785/3d-printed-dc-motor/

I am going to have to give this one a try! I wonder how the plastic will do with the heat generated by the motor.
