    MatterFab Affordable Metal 3D Printer

MatterFab, a San Fransisco based start up which has only very recently launched, has unveiled their affordable 3D metal printer. The Printer is expected to hit the market likely next year and be price at just about 10% of what current metal 3D printers on the market cost. Such a price decrease could be huge for the manufacturing world. The first test units will ship in the beginning of next year. More details on this printer can be found here:http://3dprint.com/9592/matterfab-re...itude-cheaper/

Below is a picture of one of the objects printed on a MatterFab printer. What do you guys think? Could this send ripples through the manufacturing world?

That brings it in reach of more businesses, but it's still $100,000 or so range.

Hopefully they haven't run afoul of any patents.
