    Researches 3D Print Blood Vessels

Looks like 3D bioprinting is really starting to heat up. Researches have now have very close to being able to 3D print blood vessels. The researchers were form Brigham and Women's Hospital (BWH) in Boston, and they have used some pretty interesting techniques. How close do you think we are from being able to use this type of tech to 3D print organs? Read more on this at: http://3dprint.com/4851/3d-bioprint-blood-vessels/

This is pretty cool, it reminds me of that scene in The Fifth Element where they reconstruct a body in a chamber, which almost looks like a gigantic futuristic 3D printer. As far as how long are printed organs away? I think like anything ethics will stand in the way of monumental progress sadly. If they had not put such a big hoo-ha on stem cell research imagine how much further we would be ahead today, I just hope the same thing doesn't happen with organs. Being a science fiction fan, I can't help but also picture a slightly bleaker future (I blame Blade runner) where people are printing and selling organs on the black market using this very technology.
