We have seen many cases in which 3D bioprinting has advanced. Normally doctors and researchers combine their efforts to print using a certain type of living cell, like that of heart cells, or liver cells. Researchers in the Netherlands are taking a different approach. They are developing methods of printing with stem cells. Stem cells can pretty much turn into any type of cell desired. This could add all sorts of new applications to the bioprinting space. The full details of the research they are doing can be found here: http://3dprint.com/4627/3d-printing-stem-cells/

Would love to hear opinions on this story, and what it could mean for the medical community in general.
