    Sellafield Nuclear Plant Using 3D Printing to Save Millions

    The Sellafield nuclear plant, a 1300 building site in Britain, has decided to tun to 3D printing in an effort to save millions of pounds during a cleanup effort. The plant, built close to 70 years ago, needs to create several replacement parts for equipment which has been discontinued or was customized at the time of construction.     Estimates are in the millions of pounds for how much money will be saved using 3d printing over traditional manufacturing and metrology methods.

    That is a lot of cash to be saving. I'm curious to see how this turns out.
