Approximately 28 centuries ago, a craftsman created a bronze figure of a rider on a double horse. This figure was rediscovered in the 19th century in a sizable cemetery hidden from human eyes for more than two thousand years. A rare example of a human figure, the piece is a valuable part of European cultural patrimony. Now, using 3D printing technologies, lifelike replicas of the piece are being created, opening up opportunities for increased study and exhibition of the object without risking damage to the original.
