Argentinian students at the Tecnoteca cultural and educational center in Villa Maria recently created a 3D printed chess set for the visually impaired at the Elizalde Institute. The project took them a month as they 3D printed the board and pieces which both stack together and can be embedded in the board during play. The sides of the board offer references for the blind with Braille, numbers, and letters. The coordinator of activities at the Technical library reports that next the students will move on to a project combining computers and robotics.
