I don't get the "flexible extruder" part. I thought we wanted direct drive or without the long p.t.f.e. tube between the extruder and the hotend? I mean isn't that distance what causes the problems with the flexible filaments? For a flexible filament printing machine perhaps something with a mk8 or even other design of a direct drive extruder would be better. Here, for example, is the Tevo Black Widow. It will print flexible material without a problem because aside from the 5:1 gear reduction for better resolution of the extruder, it is also >2in of space between the driven gear of the extruder and the nozzle. This is what we should be searching for to print with flexible filaments.
