The Last Elk is an epic short film from Brown Bag Films. It portrays the final seasons of the Great Irish Elk, its natural predators and hardships, and its final extinction at the hands of man, over 7,000 years ago. From that film, a limited edition of nine bronze sculptures were created of the elk, using 3D printing as a vital component of creating the mold that would be used for casting the bronze. In the end, this marriage of advanced technology and age old techniques created stunning pieces of art capturing the beauty and magic of the film.
