Buy a Prusa 2020 Folger Tech kit and upgrade the hardware, or start from scratch?

No I get it and I hear you. It's just that I've seen your responses and they all sound the same as they would from some corporate sales troll or something :-) I did purchase the i3 btw per your recommendation as well as a Monoprice v2.

@augustolfp - just remember if you plan on printing with abs - you will need to enclose the print area, and possibly heat it as well. Though if you can get it well insulated the bed itself will act as the heater.

Hopefully you got the extra meter of 2020 aluminum so you can do a nice filament roller. And if you got the 20x4 LCD Screen, I have the .STL files to make a nice case that clips onto the top rail. I have my i3-2020 all tricked out with things I printed for it!
