Design Student Creates Unique 3D Printed Lace

A student in Jerusalem at the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design has created a unique algorithm and mathematical equation for 3D printing lace. The idea came about as Ganit Goldstein, a second year design student, was working on a project for historical dress. Working with the Hebrew University’s Institute of Chemistry, after she came up with the concepts and designs, the 'chemicals men' produced the material. The 3D printed lacework can be easily customized, quickly fabricated, and will offer the public an affordable material that was once considered handcrafted and rare. This is a great project. I am wondering what kind of material has been used and what its properties are - smooth to the touch, tensile strength, elongation at break etc.
    Is any information available?
