New Zealand goldsmith Rob Wright, owner of Ringcraft Moana, is using 3D printing to create personalized wedding bands into which is crafted the fingerprint of the giver. This type of detailed inscription would not have been possible using traditional jewelry making techniques, but the 0.1 millimeter level of precision provided by 3D printers is opening up a whole new world of detail.
