Based out of Buffalo, New York, Vader Systems is looking to radicalize the metal 3D printing industry with the Mk1, a liquid metal 3D printer that utilizes their patent pending MagnetoJet technology. The printer utilizes a spool of raw metal-based material, which is first fed into a chamber that is heated up to 800°C in a ceramic chamber, and then, using electromagnetic pulses, that molten aluminum is dispersed into individual droplets. Vader Systems has already signed a deal to distribute a Mk1 to the New York-based machine shop Aurora Machine, and has also reportedly received interest from companies like Lockheed Martin.
