In April, we reported on Jennifer Webb and her project emerging from Central Michigan University and the MakerBot Innovation Center. There, she began following the results of the archaeology dig from South Africa where bones said to be two million years old and offering up a new species, Homo naledi, were found. Now, Jennifer is embarking on a serious examination of how old these bones really are, through studying what will be a total of ten 3D prints made at CMU. Through comparing the bones and teeth to other ancient human bones, some as young as 100,000 years old, she will be able to test her theory that this recent find is that of a culture much younger than two million years old.
