Central Michigan University has been able to put their MakerBot Innovation Center to very good use recently, as one of their sophomores 3D printed an e-NABLE design for an eight-year-old boy living in Muskegon Heights. Michael Bell was born with Moebius Syndrome, a condition that causes many issues, along with limb abnormalities. Michael was born without a left hand, and his teacher had noticed he was beginning to have more and more trouble with tasks in class. Austin Brittain 3D printed the hand and delivered it to Michael Bell on his last day of the school year. It’s functioning well, and both Austin and his professors are thrilled at showing off the potential of their university 3D printing lab.
