Russian-based nuclear energy corporation Rosatom will attempt to utilize their new advanced metal additive manufacturing technology to produce parts for the country’s nuclear industry. The industrial metal 3D printer, which was initially unveiled at the Innoprom industrial trade fair earlier this July in Yekaterinburg, is equipped with a 1,000-watt laser, and is expected to have an output of between 15 and 70 cubic centimeters per hour.
