At University of Malaya’s Centre for Biomedical and Technology Integration (CBMTI), the use of Stratasys 3D printers such as the Connex3 and the J750 models have allowed for them to make significant progress in training neurosurgeons for complex surgeries with the use of 3D printed training simulators. To make the simulators, they simply identify patients with the particular anatomy and condition they’d like a doctor or medical student to study and then they convert their data from CTs and MRIs into advanced 3D printed models for training. With the Stratasys technology, they are able to use multiple materials to emulate skin and texture and more. Read more at 3DPrint.com: https://3dprint.com/141291/cbmti-stratasys-3d-printers/
