The research team at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands has just unveiled their massive concrete 3D printer to the public in the first of a series of demonstrations, with the next to be in 2017. For this initial viewing, 70 visitors were able to see the construction printer in action, as well as some of the structures that have been created so far. The printer is made up of a four axis gantry robot and features a print bed of 9.0x4.5x3 m3. It also has its own mixing pump, with the entire printer controlled by a numeric controller.
