ESA Cautions That We Won't Get to Mars For at Least 15 Years
A trip to Mars with a manned spacecraft would take two years and expose its occupants to unprecedented hardships. The head of the European Space Agency cautions that we shouldn't expect such flights to take place for at least another fifteen years. In his mind, successful occupation of the moon is a prerequisite to dreams of fruitful travel to Mars, particularly the development of 3D printing technology that allows for the creation of necessary items using lunar material.
