    3D Printed Brain Waves

EEG technology is able to capture brainwaves. Although scientists are still figuring out exactly what every little wave means during a brain scan, the 3d output that they provide certainly can act as some mesmerizing art. That's exactly what Russell Brandom at TheVerge did. He was hooked up to an EEG machine, pretty much looks like a plastic head band,, and then told to relax as he watched images on a screen. The computer captured his brain waves, turned them into a 3D model, and then they printed the waves on a Makerbot Replicator 3D Printer. Here is what they got:

Check out the video explained the process as well: http://www.theverge.com/2014/3/12/54...DiXEbno84s5ULu

I guess it's kind of cool, but the brain waves are fairly meaningless if you don't know what they represent. Cool art, yeah maybe, although there are so many awesome 3d pieces of art that have been printed lately that look so much nicer.

    Thanks for the post though
