    clogging after 4th layer

    I have a Makerbot 2X and after leveling the bed for the 4th time it will still clog after layer #4
    running stock printer with abs extruder temp 230° printing ABS.
    As you can see by the pic the the top surface is rough like the nozzle was dragging hard on the surface.
    does anyone have a suggestion othet than making a boat ancor out of the printer.

    I posted in the google group makerbot users a very similar issue.
    I just repaced my Nozzle and the problem went away.
