Filament Terms for Beginners

Hello Guys,

I've now ordered my 3D Printer (Finally )and I'm just wondering if any of you know or can share images related to the terms I hear a lot but sometimes there's no correlation with the image (because almost everyone post only good prints and not the bad printed part).

My request for you guys is that if you can share a photo showing example of:

• bonding (good and bad)
• warping
• Corner Lift (I don't know yet if can be related to the Bed or the filament)
• Strings
• Blobs
• Interlayer Delamination
• Etc.\

If you guys know more terms that I forgot please share with me so I can update it here.


I looked into the forum and only found very high level about the filaments, I couldn't find a troubleshooting glossary like the one my post intent to be.

well when you get the printer - post the first ten prints and we'll tell you what's wrong with each one - can't say fairer than that :-)
