GE Aviation Makes GE9X Jet Engine with 3D Printed Components

GE Aviation is making history with the development of their GE9X jet engine, the largest jet engine in the world. Made with several 3D printed components, in particular fuel nozzles, the GE9X also boasts superior fuel efficiency and heat resistance, plus light weight and quietness. The engine was developed at the request of Boeing for their new 777X jet airliner, and while it will not make its debut in the sky for a few years, GE has already received over 700 orders for the new engine.
