This amazing, full-sized Warhammer 40,000 chainsword cosplay prop was designed and assembled entirely from 3D printed parts by the manager at the Games Workshop store Phillip Bennett, located in Parramatta, Australia. The project cost Bennett about $50 in printing materials and electronics, and used four full spools of PLA filament to print all of the parts. The chainsword's movements are controlled using the motor from a cordless drill. So far there are no plans to release the 3D printable files, or produce and sell replicas of he original.
