    Fastest Production Car Ever, Koenigsegg One:1, Uses 3D Printing

    It certainly seems that 3D printing is becoming a bigger and bigger player within the manufacturing sector, each day that passes. Recently Koenigsegg, announced their new super car, the One:1, which they claim is the fastest production car ever produced.

    They were able to help get the weight down, meaning faster speeds, with the help of 3D printing. The exhaust tip of the car is 3d printed from titanium, and is the largest piece ever printed out of the material.

    Here is a bit of an update video. It shows the preparing the amazing 1360 horse power Koenigsegg One:1 car for its debut. Extremely impressive, and partially 3D printed!

    Koenigsegg One:1 just came out with a pretty interesting new tidbit of news involving their latest 3D printing technology. In additional to the exhaust tips being 3D printed with titanium, they have also 3D printed a double-housing (i.e. variable) stainless steel turbo for the engine. It is cost-effective at low volumes only, and they control the patent which enables this technology. pretty crazy. Check out their latest video below:
