Well, if you thought 3D printing was getting humdrum in the last hour or so, here’s something to wake you up. Just check out the video Swiss freestyle skier Nicolas Vuignier captures while slinging around his iPhone 6 on a long string as he slices through the wintery white powder in slow motion, allowing for stunning footage. After two years of refining the process, Vuignier finally came up with a way to film himself skiing, with the creation of a 3D printed centriphone rig. While he did try a GoPro, he found this technology to work better for his purposes, and soon he hopes to release a ‘template’ for others interested in trying it out.
