In October, a young girl named Mitsuko lost all of the fingers on her right hand in an accident. Her family, from the French territory of New Caledonia, brought her to Paris in hopes of finding an affordable prosthetic device. Every device they found cost thousands of euros and would have taken months to create - until they were referred to e-NABLE France. Less than two weeks after Mitsuko met the e-NABLE volunteers, she had received two working prototypes that impressed her occupational therapist.
