Dr. Allan Drummond loves trilobites. No, you don't need to be alarmed, he's a professional and this isn't that kind of story. Instead, it is the journey of one man to 3D print a model of the long extinct but once prolific little creature. With 17,000 (or so) species of trilobite to choose from, Drummond was looking for one that would be idea for 3D printing and he found his perfect candidate in Ceraurus. Having successfully created the 3D print of this diminutive devil, he has since moved on to other science-based beauty with scarab beetles and dividing yeast cells providing fodder for his 3D printing enthusiasm.
