On January 1, the Netherlands took over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union, which it will hold until the end of June. As the seat of their leadership, the Dutch constructed a temporary but fully furnished building known as the Europe Building. The sustainably-designed building was largely constructed from a 3D printed bioplastic that will be torn down and recycled at the end of the Netherlands' presidency.
