The Isle of Wight County Museum in Virginia is in possession of two unusual artifacts: the world's oldest ham and the world's oldest peanut. Preserved in the early 20th century by businessman P.D. Gwaltney, whose family was a major player in both the pork and peanut businesses, the ham and peanut are two of the most popular attractions at the museum. Both items were recently 3D scanned by Dr. Bernard Means, an anthropology professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, who plans to use the images in his classes. The museum, meanwhile, is considering 3D printing the ham for its visitors to examine. Check out more details at 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/111222/worlds-oldest-ham-and-peanut/
